Queensland. What gives?

I’ve always liked Queensland (I lived on the Gold Coast for a year and a half), despite growing up in NSW and living for 18 years in WA. But recent events make me glad I’m out of there.

The building insurance scheme in Queensland is excellent. Great if you’re building a house. But then a couple of events leave you wondering just what is going on over there.

First, the Police Minister calls for fans to support the Broncos, four of whom are being investigated for alleged gang rape. Then a primary school omits a child with a disability from attending a visit by a TV weatherman. The Education Department backs the principal.

Bloody ridiculous.
